It is the responsibility of the organizations to keep their own list of adoptable pets up to date, so the PetConnex website is constantly being updated.

The organizations using our platform have their own adoption policies and procedures and are solely responsible for the adoption of their own animals. To adopt a pet seen on PetConnex, click on the 'Visit Organization' button on the pet's profile.

The adoption fee covers the animal's healthcare (vaccinations, microchipping, spaying/neutering, deworming, etc.) while they wait for a new home, as well as in some cases, the cost of food and transportation. This fee may vary from organization to organization depending on what is included in the adoption fee. These fees help care for the other animals in the organization, whose medical bills are often much higher than any potential adoption fee.

Thank you for considering adoption as your first option! Each animal rescue organization has its own adoption process and criteria, so PetConnex has no control over this. We hope this experience doesn't change your mind about providing a loving home to a pet in need.

All organizations listed on our website go through an application and screening process before they can publish their adoptable pets. If you have concerns about a specific organization, please feel free to reach out to us.
